So in normal circumstances, the link you clicked would take you to an Octopus Energy page where you could get a quote and if you decided to switch, you would get £50 credit!
However, Octopus are currently not actively encouraging new customers. Many other energy suppliers are doing the same and most comparison sites either have no or very few deals.
For example, if you visit Octopus for a quote, you will see the following:
With the rapid increase in wholesale energy costs, the majority of people are better off sticking with their current tariff.
Even Standard Variable Tariffs (that you will get moved to automatically after your fixed tariff ends) are generally currently better value than fixed tariffs.
