Manchester-based Zebra Power are a small independent energy supplier that was set up in 2016. They aim to make energy supply simply and to save their customers money without sacrificing customer service standards.

What tariffs do Zebra Power offer?

Zebra Power offer a range of fixed-rate tariffs covering different periods. Each of these has a £30 exit fee.

They also offer a variable-rate tariff which has no exit fee. Zebra Power does not have a specific tariff for electric vehicle users and they do not offer a pre-payment tariff.

Zebra Power offers electricity-only tariffs or dual fuel tariffs. Gas-only tariffs are not available.

What billing options are available?

Zebra Power accepts payment by direct debit only. Customers cannot pay by cash, cheque, or credit or debt card. Pre-payment accounts as not available either.

The first direct debit is taken once the switch has taken place and direct debits are taken monthly after that. You can change the date of the monthly direct debit by contacting Zebra Power, for instance so that it ties in with your monthly pay date.

The aim is for a consistent amount to be taken each month throughout the year, but if you join in the winter your direct debit may increased to take into account the fact that you will be more energy at that time. If your circumstances change that might also result in your monthly direct debit amount  being changed.

Paperless billing is cheaper but customers can pay extra to have a paper bill if they want one.
