Agile Octopus and Agile Outgoing Octopus all set their prices a day ahead, usually in the late afternoon. This compares them for one day and one region, which is the comparison an individual tariff page cannot make.

Reading this fairly
- The average is a plain mean of tomorrow’s prices. What you actually pay depends on when you use electricity, which is the whole point of a time-of-use tariff — a cheap average is no use to a household that cannot move its usage into the cheap hours.
- Standing charges are not in these figures and differ between tariffs. A low unit rate with a high standing charge can cost more overall, particularly for a household that does not use much.
- One day is not a reason to switch. Tariffs are worth comparing over months, which is what the price history on each tariff page shows.
