How we handle these numbers
- Every figure carries its publisher, dataset, period, geography and licence.
- Great Britain means England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland data is not mixed in.
- Power and energy, actuals and forecasts, and metered and estimated values are never silently combined.
- Missing data is shown as missing. A gap is never displayed as zero.
- Where a figure is modelled or derived, the page says so and explains the derivation.
